St. Joseph's Health is a healing ministry of the Catholic Church sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth. We are committed to sustaining and improving individual and community health with a special concern for those who are poor, vulnerable, and underserved.

Employee Education

Continuing Education

The Education Department provides consultation, facilitation, classroom content and instructor led training in collaboration with departments’ leadership to provide the following orientation programming for new employees. The Education department provides educational needs assessments for clinical staff to maintain and improve performance competencies on an annual basis and develops an educational plan to be met by clinical departments. The Education Department also manages online learning using a Learning Management System that all employees use annually to refresh themselves about required regulatory policies and procedures.

Educational Development and Training Programs

The purpose of the Education Department at St. Joseph’s is to provide and facilitate quality education and competency development for all employees so that safe and effective patient care and healthy outcomes for our community are achieved.

Child Care

The Child Care Center at St. Joseph’s Health provides quality care and education for children and grandchildren of employees between the ages of two months and five years.

Licensed by the state of New Jersey and accredited by the National Associate for the Education of Young Children, the Child Care Center follows Teaching Strategies' Creative Curriculum for our preschool and pre-k programs, giving children the opportunity to learn through play and curiosity, while getting them ready for school success.

Located just two blocks from St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, the Center is a nurturing extension of the St. Joseph's family where we prioritize your needs and those of your child.
