Read MorePlans and administers therapeutic services to patients in addition to counseling patients and/or families (guardian) regarding patients disorder. Writes evaluation reports and maintains patient files. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory/legislative policies as apply to the profession of Speech Language Pathology and adheres to same.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Current NJ State License in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) required. If workding in a school systme a NJ Department of Education Certification as Speech-Language Specialist. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at time of hire or within 3 months of hire. For EIP (Early Intervention Program) employees only: Valid driver’s license required and comply with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle as well as all policies as outlined in the SJHS Fleet Management & Safety Program.
Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
