Read MoreThe Nurse Manager of Occupational Health is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s Employee Health/Occupational Health program in direct collaboration with the Occupational Health and Wellness Medical Director. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all hospital employees and employer clients. The Nurse Manager provides clinical oversight and leadership, manages staff, develops policies, and collaborates with leadership to regarding various work-related and employee issues, including workplace injuries and exposures.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master’s degree or higher preferred (MSN, MHA, MPH) or DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice)
Licensure:
- Active RN or NP license preferred in the State of New Jersey (or applicable state)
Certifications (Preferred):
- COHN or COHN-S (Certified Occupational Health Nurse)
- BLS certification
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience or nurse practitioner experience
- 2–3 years in Occupational Health or Employee Health preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Hospital experience strongly preferred

Pay transparency: St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
Organization
St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.
The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging and pediatrics.
