Read MoreUnder general supervision and according to established procedures, start intravenous and administer recommended amount of radio isotope. Performs stress testing, along with a variety of Nuclear Cardiac scanning on outpatients. Completes computer processing and analysis of all test data.
Qualifications
Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine. ARRT in Nuclear Medicine (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or NMTCB ( Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) required within twelve months of working in that modality. State of New Jersey licensure in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required. Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) granted through the American Heart Association is required within 12 months of hire. IV certification granted through the hospital education department is required within 12 month of hire. Requires the analytical ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth experience based knowledge. Requires the ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
