Read MoreResponsible for counseling and case management services for individuals within the department of Pediatrics, Child Development Center, part of a multi-disciplinary team. Counseling techniques are utilized to engage clients in treatment. Assessment and treatment planning are utilized to support pediatric patients and their families. Clients are assisted in obtaining entitlements and linkages to other community resources/services. Outreach activities to clients who are ambivalent about services or who miss appointments.
Qualifications
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master’s degree in social work, psychology or closely related field, Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Licensure required commensurate to degree as required by the State of New Jersey. Licensed Associate Counselor required to have supervision and be actively working on accumulating hours for full licensure by the state of NJ. Work requires the ability to prepare detailed assessments of patient referrals, counseling individual, group or family members, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill.
