- Responsible for conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans (IFSPs), and providing direct services to infants and toddlers (birth to three) with communication delays. Key responsibilities include working in families' natural environments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and caregivers to promote functional communication skills through everyday routines, and maintaining accurate records and compliance with NJEIS regulations. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory/legislative policies as apply to the profession of Speech Language Pathology and adheres to same.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Current NJ State License in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. If working in a school system, a NJ Department of Education Certification as Speech-Language Specialist is required. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at time of hire or within 3 months of hire. QI (Quality Indicators) certification required for Wayne employees only and to be taken following employment and training and then certification must be taken through the rehab program (Uniform Data System for Medical Rehab-UDSmr). For EIP (Early Intervention Program) employees only: Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the SJH insurance carrier, for those required to drive a hospital vehicle.
Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
