Job Overview
1. Triage and care for cardiothoracic surgery patients.
2. Manage the pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care of patients.
3. Participate in medical education of residents, medical students, nursing and ancillary services on cardiothoracic surgery quality standard practices and procedures.
4. Interact with surgical and consulting physicians, outside departments, nursing and ancillary personnel to improve patient care.
5. Provide on call and/or clinic coverage as requested by the Division Chief.
6. Maintain necessary and appropriate documentation for all services provided in compliance with regulatory and hospital policies.
7. Participate in scholarly activity and research.
8. Perform administrative duties as directed by the Chairman of the Department of Surgery.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chairman of the Department of Surgery.
