Read MoreResponsible for directing the care and progress of patients in the Inpatient and Outpatient Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs. Reviews medical records of patients, selecting pertinent data to initiate and implement patient specific plan of care. Collaborates with other health care team members in planning patient's care. Implements exercise prescriptions for patients being mindful of their risk stratification. Assess physiologic responses to exercise, including vital signs, telemetry rhythm, and subjective patient responses. Adjusts exercise levels as indicated/appropriate. Responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice. Supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph’s Healthcare System and on his/her assigned unit.
Qualifications
Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey. Successful completion of department specific orientation, department specific certification of AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) at hire, and Advanced Cardiac life Support (ACLS) within 6 months. Telemetry experience preferred.
