Job Overview
Works under indirect supervision of the Resource Technician performing daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department, which include all aspects of the decontamination, assembly of sets, sterilization processes, and specialty cart restocking (CPR carts, Disaster Carts, Case Carts and Specialty carts). Ensures functions are performed with conscious regard to the procedures while interacting professionally with other departments within the system. The CSPDT must have knowledge of: surgical instrumentation in regards to identification, cleaning, inspecting, testing, packaging and sterilization, operation of mechanical equipment for instrument cleaning and sterilization, infection control practices and preventative measures and regulatory agencies the govern sterile processing practices.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
